Since I came from Faisalabad so things were pretty new here at Lahore. I reached Microsoft office (MIC) which is at 5th floor of Arfa Software Technology Park, Lahore. It was fantastic tall building and every thing was fine.
After some time Mr. Awais Niazi (Project Coordinator at Microsoft) started orientation in which he told us about the agenda of internship, time(free time but have to spend minimum of 4 hours daily) duration(3 months), code of conduct, attendance(70%) and some general talk. This orientation was 2 hours long just to get us started. After that I searched for some decent place to live for the next three months in Lahore. Since I came on bus, so I’ve to use Metro or Auto Rickshaw(I don’t prefer) to go places. I went from ‘Model Town’ to ‘Dhalla’, ‘Pace’ to ‘Barkat market’ but none of the hostels were good enough. Moreover I called some friends for the accommodation but none of them helped me. So after too much walking I finally happen to find shared accommodation at Main Ferozpur Road, which was little costly for the worth but I had no choice so I picked this as the best choice.
Shared accommodation in Lahore is about 5000 per person, which includes single bed with mattress, 24 hours electricity, internet, hot and cold water, security, separate cupboard. Apart from this, food expenses are about 5000 if you are foodie like I am :p. Like total is about 10-15 thousand per head if somebody wants to live and enjoy a little.
